Scroll the Bible
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated · July 19, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy is for Scroll the Bible. It covers paid subscriptions and free trials that you start on our website and that are billed through Stripe. By subscribing or starting a free trial on the website, you agree to this policy along with our Terms of Service.
If you subscribed to Scroll the Bible inside the app on the App Store, that subscription is billed and refunded by Apple, not by us. We cannot see, cancel, or refund an App Store purchase, so those requests have to go through Apple. This policy, and the refund request form at the bottom of this page, are only for website subscriptions.
1. What Qualifies for a Refund
These are the kinds of situations where we will almost always help you out. If any of these describe your charge, email support@thejcbsnbrand.com with the email you paid with and a short note about what happened:
- You were charged more than once for the same subscription by mistake (a duplicate charge).
- You see a charge you do not recognize and suspect fraud or that someone used your card without permission.
- The service was completely unavailable or broken for you and we were not able to fix it.
- A refund is required by the consumer protection laws where you live.
Even outside of this list, if you had a bad experience and feel a charge was not fair, tell us. We would rather talk it through than leave you frustrated.
2. What Does Not Qualify for a Refund
To keep things fair and sustainable, some situations generally will not be refunded. The most common one is simply forgetting:
- You forgot to cancel your subscription and it renewed for another period.
- You forgot to cancel before your free trial ended and were charged when it converted to a paid plan.
- You signed up, did not end up using the service much, but the subscription was active and available the whole time.
- You changed your mind about the subscription after the renewal already went through.
One important thing to understand: sending us an email, text, or message that says “cancel” does not cancel your subscription or trial, and it does not stop the next charge. A cancellation only counts when you do it yourself in the right place (see the step-by-step guide below). So “I emailed you to cancel” on its own does not qualify for a refund.
The good news is cancelling is quick and stops all future charges right away, so you are never locked in. And if your situation is a genuine mix, like you forgot to cancel but also could not find where to do it or something looked off, still reach out and we will use common sense.
We Want You to Be Happy
We are real people building something we care about, and we care a lot about our customers and making sure you are happy and treated fairly. We cannot promise a full refund for every request, but if something went genuinely wrong we want to hear about it and make it right. If you are ever unsure, just email support@thejcbsnbrand.com and a real person will look into it.
Think you qualify for a refund on a Scroll the Bible website subscription? Use the Request a Refund form at the bottom of this page and we will review it.
3. Free Trials
If your plan includes a free trial, your payment method is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Cancelling any time during the trial is free and stops that charge from ever happening, so if you are not sure you want to continue, the safest move is to cancel early. If you were charged because of a mistake or fraud rather than simply forgetting, that falls under what qualifies for a refund above, so email us.
4. How to Cancel: Step by Step
You cancel your own subscription. It takes about a minute. There are only two places this can happen, and which one you use depends on where you signed up. Find your situation below and follow the numbered steps.
Reminder:Emailing or messaging us the word “cancel” does nothing. You have to do the steps below yourself, or the next charge will still happen.
Path A
If you signed up on the website
This covers anyone who paid on our website with a card, Apple Pay, Cash App, or Link. You cancel it yourself in the app, in about a minute.
- Open Settings, Subscription. If it asks you to sign in, enter the email you paid with and we email a 6-digit code to that inbox.
- Tap your subscription in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
- Answer the short question, then tap Cancel Subscription again to confirm.
- When you see Subscription Canceled, you are done. No more charges, and we email you a confirmation.
Path B
If you signed up inside the app on an iPhone or iPad
If you subscribed through the app on an Apple device, Apple handles that subscription, not us and not Stripe. You have to cancel it in your Apple settings. We physically cannot do this one for you.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad (the gray gear icon).
- Tap your name at the very top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Scroll the Bible in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. If you do not see a Cancel button, it is already canceled.
Not sure which one you used? If you paid on our website, use Path A. If you tapped “Subscribe” inside the app on your phone, use Path B. When in doubt, try Path A first, and if we show no subscription there, use Path B. If you may have signed up in both places, check both, because Apple bills its own subscriptions and we cannot cancel or refund those for you.
Every email we send you also carries a one-tap cancel link that needs no sign-in. If you cannot sign in and cannot find one of our emails, our payment processor keeps a backup billing portal you can log into with the email you paid with.
Cancelling stops all future renewals. Your access continues through the end of the time you have already paid for. A cancellation only counts once you actually complete the steps above.
5. We Do Not Cancel On Your Behalf
We do not cancel subscriptions or trials in response to email, text messages, phone calls, voicemails, social media messages, or any other request sent to us or to any person. Those requests will not be processed and will not stop a renewal or trial charge.
To cancel, you must complete the steps yourself: Path A (in the app, Settings then Subscription) if you signed up on the website, or Path B (your Apple settings) if you signed up in the app. Those are the only cancellation methods we recognize.
6. Stuck? We Will Point You in the Right Direction
If you followed the steps above and still cannot get it done, email support@thejcbsnbrand.com and tell us where you signed up (website or the app) and the email you paid with. We will walk you to the exact button. For your security you still tap the final Cancel yourself: we cannot cancel a website subscription from our side, and we have no ability at all to cancel an Apple subscription for you.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Where required by law, mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence continue to apply regardless of this policy.
Refund request
Request a Refund
This is only for Scroll the Bible subscriptions billed on our website. It takes a few minutes, a real person reviews every request, and most requests do not qualify. If you only want to stop being charged, you do not need this. Just cancel.
Read this before you start
We want you to be treated fairly, so we will be honest up front. This saves you time.
- If you just want to stop being charged, you do not need a refund. Canceling in Settings, Subscription stops all future charges right away.
- Forgetting to cancel, not using it much, or changing your mind do not qualify for a refund, even after you email us.
- Refunds for a duplicate charge or fraud require a clear screenshot, your real name, and the exact email you paid with.
- Knowingly false claims are declined and recorded.
